Do you believe in Romance? Have you ever been swept off of your feet? Regardless your answer or perspectives about this word — a word that can play both the roles of noun or verb very well— the teaching and learning of mathematics requires Romance more than we know. And that without it, it’d be nearly impossible to experience success with teaching and learning ← → learning and teaching mathematics. That seems quite contrary to the decades-old mainstay for ‘success’ in school mathematics: Precision.
